Course Overview

The Professional Driving Instructors Training Course (PDIT) is a structured, competency-based program designed to equip prospective and existing driving instructors with the skills, knowledge, and professional standards required to deliver effective driver training in Ghana. The course aligns with the regulatory requirements of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) and the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) and incorporates internationally recognized instructional methodologies.

Course Description

This course provides driving instructors with advanced competencies in driver education, road safety, traffic regulations, vehicle operation, instructional techniques, and assessment strategies. Emphasis is placed on professional ethics, learner-centered teaching, hazard perception, defensive driving, and adherence to Ghana’s road traffic laws. Participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical training to meet the licensing and instructional requirements set by the DVLA.
